DR Supersonic Long Sleeve - T-Shirt

The very first Designers Republic T-shirt.

In 1988 we decided to celebrate Xmas at my friend George's restaurant in Ranmoor, Sheffield, and we asked a few of our friends who'd supported us to date to join us celebrate what had been a phenomenal third year for The Designers Republic™. As a thank you we gave everyone who came (variously Age of Chance, PWEI, Funky Worm / Krush / Fon Force, Jive Turkey, Cabaret Voltaire etc) one of these tees. Altogether we made 50 shirts. Around 45 were given away on the night — miraculously we found these TWO in the archive — size L, XL never worn. Design history.
