Large format canvas outdoor signage banners from the Ian Anderson / The Designers Republic C( H— )ome (+81 / 3) retrospective exhibition at Dai Nippon’s Ginza Graphic Gallery (GGG), Tokyo, February 2011. Designed by TDR™ and made in Japan, each of the two identical banners available (sold separately, and never previously offered for sale) is a unique opportunity to own an unrepeatable slice of TDR™ history. These are the actual banners from the show as seen hanging outside the gallery in the picture.

GGG is the most prestigious graphics gallery in Japan, and TDR’s show was spread over 60m of wall plus purpose built columns and ‘tunnels’ in the 150+ square metre space balanced over two floors. The show, curated by Ian Anderson and GGG’s Azusa Ozawa, focussed on 25 years of TDR’s modern Japan-influenced / related / influencing work 1986 — 2011. The title of the show references Idea Magazine’s then-editor Kiyonori Muroga assertion that Sheffield may have been TDR’s home city but Tokyo, creatively, was our spiritual home.
