X Clothes Basics - T-Shirt

This was the first TDR™ design for X Clothes. Originally an A3 poster commissioned to advertise / promote the Leeds based shop (on the back of early-encounters with the wonderful Age of Chance), this tee was the result of X Clothes punters loving the TDR poster which magically appeared in and around Leeds one night, and asking if there was a t-shirt with the design on.

The design, as with most other 2D preMac TDR work was brain aided and Rotring-executed directly as mono-mechanical artwork on non-repro graph board accessorised with Pantone black markers and PMTs.

We didn’t handle the print run so don’t know numbers, but whatever this is all we have left from our file copy allocation 37 years ago. I wore mine with Demob / XLNT Black denim jeans Pringle diamond socks and Black Loakes Dr Marten-sole soul loafers!
