ACE Funky Queen - T-Shirt

When X Clothes rebranded as Ace Clothing (don't know why) in the early 1990 TDR™ was asked to create a launch collection of T-shirt designs based around the Hanna Barbarism themes we were having a fine time exploring with PWEI etc at the time. Originally the collection more literally referenced Playing Card iconography but Jeremy (Ace) wanted a range with a broader contemporary feel.

We decided to lose the original queen illustration on this girls’ cut tee so that the wearer could be the Funky Queen herself. This is from around 1993.
