Blech Boy - Proof Print

An uncut A2 printer’s proof of an A3 print in 4 pantone spot colours with colour bar and all printer’s marks.

This is the poster of the Blech Warp Mixtape Cassette curated and mixed by DJ Food’s Mr Strictly (Kev) released in 1995 (an edited version with butchered sponsor-art came free with Wax Magazine in 1996). The poster was never used to promote the cassette. The design was re-created / repurposed as a 2m x 1m banner as part of a number of TDR shows and the edited down to A3 as part a Sonar (Barcelona) TDR (early ‘Peoples Bureau For Consumer Information’) sale.

That edition was around 100.

TDRBlechBoy is cut from the same genetic mixed metaphor as TDRSissy v2 (Bubblegum Manga-girl somewhere in time between Emigre Magazine and Wipeout) (who was the cover star of Blech II (Blechsdottir) CD only – also sonically mucked-abaht wi’ by Strictly)
